Fedora Core 12 FC12 will no longer have root user name, instead it is just like Ubuntu where the first defined user name will be the "root". However, when you try to do any root level administration, you will still need to type "su" for the permission to be granted. This change really a big impact in Fedora community, Some said it is a stupid change, but some said it is a stupid though to say that it is a stupid change.
Anyway, we now have a yumex running problem, if you are using root access user account, you can no longer just type yumex to run the program. Instead, you have to run "sudo yumex"...

P.S.  If you never update your packages yet, you might see a error when yumex being executed like this:

Line 25 Python...
You can still remove and reinstall this package, however, this sticky problem will never get fixed.
Here is what you need to do:

yum update PackageKit

If this still not having the problem solved, probably it is that your fedora is missing a dependency:
pycairo-1.8.6-2.fc12

Do this:

yum install pycairo*
